About Us
Sri Sri De-Addiction Center is an initiative of the Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir Trust (www.ssrvm.org), a public charitable trust founded by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar in 1999 (gurudev.artofliving.org), that is focused on health and education initiatives. The SSRVM Trust runs more than 120 Institutes across all of India, including the Sri Sri University, the Sri Sri Ayurveda College and Hospital, and the Sri Sri Institute of Nursing.
At the Sri Sri De-addiction Centre, we are committed to offering a humane and holistic approach to the management of various addictive behaviours. We go beyond symptom treatment and support individuals in achieving complete and sustainable recovery. We combine the strengths of modern allopathy with the timeless wisdom of yoga and Sudarshan Kriya, addressing the physical, psychological, and emotional roots of addiction. Our integrated care model will soon expand to include homoeopathy and Ayurveda, further enriching our healing pathways.
We facilitate ‘whole person recovery’, empowering individuals to rebuild their lives by restoring balance in body, mind, and spirit—thereby enabling them not just to quit, but to stay quit and thrive.
Vision
Create a center of excellence in the management of substance use by employing a ‘humane and holistic‘ approach to rehabilitate those affected by substance use. To create a space for the complete healing or ‘Whole Person Recovery’ of the substance user in the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual domains.
To destigmatize ‘substance use’ and help people understand that it is a mental health condition requiring professional intervention.
Mission
With the increasing number of substance users, many of them wanting to quit and with the poor availability of the necessary infrastructure, there is an urgent need to establish a rehabilitation center working with substance users employing a modern approach to substance use with a powerful blend of ancient wisdom.
For over 4-decades, The Art of Living, through its various programs, has been working across the globe to help people out of stress and find fulfillment in life. Sri Sri De-addiction Centre is another effort to put its experience in the field of managing addictive behaviors. Another effort is in line with Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar Ji’s vision of putting a ‘smile on every face’.
